Workshop: In this workshop we shall look at some Tai Chi Chuan self-defence applications and their variations. Different situations need different ways of responding. Important principles we need to analyse in order to use self-defence applications effectively are:
· Position
· Timing
· Distance
Each technique can be used in more than one way, any techniques can be combined with others, and self-defence applications can be used to follow up others. This in turn leaves Tai Chi Chuan practitioners with a wide range of possible techniques to defend an attack.
